What We Collect
Justify the Spend collects the minimum data necessary to provide our service:
- Email addresses — only when you voluntarily submit them via our lead capture forms or newsletter signup. We never sell or share your email with third parties.
- Usage analytics — we use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymized page view and interaction data (page slug, event type, timestamp). This data contains no personally identifiable information (PII).
- Email content you generate — the text you enter into our generator (event details, names, context) is sent to our API to generate emails. This data is processed in real-time and is not stored on our servers after the response is returned.
What We Don't Collect
- We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.
- We do not collect IP addresses in our application logs.
- We do not run any third-party advertising trackers.
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Vercel — hosting and serverless functions. Subject to Vercel's Privacy Policy.
- OpenAI — AI email generation. Content sent to our API is processed by OpenAI's models. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy. OpenAI does not use API inputs to train models.
Data Retention
Email addresses submitted via lead forms are stored in server logs with the domain portion only (the local part is redacted). Generated email content is not persisted after the API response is returned.
Your Rights
You can request deletion of any data we hold about you by emailing us. Since we collect minimal data, in most cases there is nothing to delete beyond a redacted log entry.
Children's Privacy
Justify the Spend is not intended for use by individuals under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
